REPAIR FAQs

How long will it take to repair a device?

Our goal is to get the device back to you as soon as possible but please allow up to 10 working days. We may have small delays in processing orders due to Covid 19. Once the device is back in the store of your choice, we ask you to pick it up within 14 days.

If the device can not be repaired, will I have to pay anyway?

We operate a no fix no fee policy so in the unlikely event that we are unable to repair your device, we will let you know the reason why we cannot repair the device and a full refund will be given upon collection. You can also use this to put towards a new or used console if needed.

Does the repair also include a warranty?

Yes

Console: There is a 12 month warranty from date of collection on the repairs carried out & parts.

Controller: There is a 3 month warranty from date of collection on the repairs carried out & parts.

Do you repair consoles that are banned on PSN?

Yes we can offer a repair but this only covers faults in the console and not PSN recovery.

Will i lose the data on my console

You will retain all the data on your console as when you handed it into the store but in the event that the Hard Drive is corrupt your data will be lost.

Do i need to bring in anything else with my console

Whilst this is not necessary for us to repair the console if you believe that a fault could be with the controller, HDMI or power source then let us know and we will look at that also.

All spare parts are tested by us and are also subject to a warranty of 12 months from the date of delivery of the device. Of course, the warranty includes only the repair of the original defect, as well as the installed spare parts.


When we replace part(s), the removed part(s) becomes the property of Gamestop and the built-in replacement part(s) becomes the property of the customer. Subsequent defects caused by the customer (eg liquid damage, short circuit, physical defects, etc.) are not covered by the 12-month warrranty.


At Gamestop, we know that securing games and personal content is a valuable asset. For this reason, we try to obtain this data with the greatest effort. Unfortunately in the case of Hard Drive damage this will not be recoverable. We strongly advise the customer to secure the data on an external device.


In the unlikely event that your device is damaged or lost by Gamestop, Gamestop will repair the damage or replace the lost device with an equivalent replacement device.


In the unlikely event that we are unable to repair your device, we will refund you the deposit in full and return your device unrepaired. Alternatively you can also put the repair deposit towards a new or used device of your choice.


Our goal is to hand over the device as soon as possible but please allow up to within 10 working days. Once the device is back in the store where you originally brought it to and we have informed you of it's return to the store, we ask that you pick it up there within 14 days. If this is not possible for you, we ask you to arrange a pick-up appointment with the store. Please make sure your contact details are up to date so we can contact you by phone. If you still do not pick up your device within 90 days of the agreement, we will try to arrange a pickup with you for the last time.


All Gamestop security seals must be intact/untampered to avail of the above warranty periods. If seals are broken/removed or tampered with, all warranties are considered null or void.

This item is available to pre-order online and collect in store.


How does it work?

  • Step 1: Login to your GameStop account
  • Step 2: Find the item you wish to pre-order and add it to your cart
  • Step 3: When in your cart under the Delivery section, choose the Collect in Store tab and choose your favourite store.
  • Step 4: Finish checkout and pay your deposit. The remaining balance will be paid in store.

Once the item is released you’ll be able to collect it in your chosen store.

Please note: This is a digital product. The product will be delivered in the form of a redeem code which will be viewable on the "My Order" page.


All orders for Digital products are manually checked by our team before being approved. If your order is placed outside of normal office hours i.e 8:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 8:00 - 16:00 on Friday this may delay processing of your order. Subsequent order should dispatch instantly.


Please note: Digital products are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged once the order has been processed.
