Xbox One Backwards Compatibility

Xbox One Backwards Compatibility has arrived! Announced at E3 2015, the service launched officially on November 12, 2015. It gives gamers the ability to play an ever growing number of Xbox 360 games on their Xbox One.

Below, you’ll find our guide on how the get you on the road to re-living some gaming greats on your Xbox One.



How it works

If you have an Xbox 360 game on the backwards compatibility list you want to play, simply insert the disc into your Xbox One and the download will begin. Once the download has completed, you’re ready to rock.

Keep in mind you’ll need to keep the disc in the drive in order to play. The digital titles you own from the backwards compatibility list will automatically show in the “Ready to install” section on your Xbox One.
